Hub Mount Installation Instructions
- Lay both rack sides on a flat surface with the center mounting bar raised up.
- Attach the hub fit kit to the desired holes, with the spacer facing up. These holes may vary depending on the level you wish the rack to ride.
- Remove your existing brake bolts. These hold the brake arm onto the frame (do not remove or alter your brake arms or pads).
- Use supplied M6 x 20 mm bolts to bolt the angle brackets onto the brake studs (these bolts may replace the original brake bolts). The angle brackets will stick up above the bosses and brakes with the tab outboard from the wheel.
- Use M6 x 16 mm bolts to attach the extender bar to the outside of the angle bracket using the single hole side leaving the slotted end to match up with the rack sidebar.
- Remove your standard 5 mm quick-release and position the two rack sides on either side of the fork with the axle spacers facing inward. Use our longer skewer to secure the rack frames to the fork through the hub.
- Use the remaining M6 x 16 mm bolts to attach extender bar to closest slots in the rack sidebar. Use two more M6 x 16 mm bolts to attach the crossbar over the front wheel connecting both sides. Depending on your pannier configuration the supplied pannier hook can be used for a lower pannier hook to attach to. Double check all hardware and the installation is complete.
Eyelet Mount Installation Instructions
-
Lay both rack sides on a flat surface with the center mounting bar raised up.
- Attach the 3-holed eyelet fit kit (in mirror images of each other) to the mounting bar. Orient the fit kits on mounting bar for desired rack height; the lower the kit the higher the rack will ride.
- Place rack frame on the outside of the fork with the fit kit on the inside, and attach to lower eyelet. Use 5 mm spacer if necessary to space rack out. Level Rack.
- If your fork has mid fork eyelets, use supplied 3"extender, and attach to the eyelet. Use the M5 x16 mm bolts to attach if mid fork hole is threaded. If fork has a through hole attach with M5 x 40 mm bolts and nyloc nuts.
- If your fork has V-brakes or Cantilever brakes, remove the existing brake bolts (do not alter your brakes in anyway) using the supplied M6 x 20 mm bolts. Place the supplied angle bracket over the hole and attach to the brake stud. Tab should run to the outside.
- Use the supplied M6 x16 mm bolts to attach the Ultimate extender to the outside of the angle bracket.
- Use the remaining M6 x16 mm bolts to attach the Ultimate extender to the closest slots in the rack sidebar.
Clamp Mount Installation Instructions (Hub or Eyelet mount)
- Place the pre-measured OMM band clamp around the fork leg approximately one inch below the level of the rim.
- Close the clamp and attach the ultimate extender to the outside of the clamp using the single hole side.
- Use the remaining M6 x16 mm bolts to attach the extenders to the slotted sidebar of the rack.
- Use two more M6 x16 mm bolts to attach the crossbar over the front wheel connecting both sides.
- Depending on your pannier configuration the supplied pannier hook can be used for a lower pannier hook to attach to.
- Double-check all hardware and your installation is complete.
